optimus prime and the autobots are presented as the ultimate moral high ground in the cybertronian war and yet they have committed just as many atrocities as, if not more than, the decepticon enemies they paint unequivocally as evil. the whole narrative is flooded with biased perception that is never called into question, and as much as the comics and prime try to act like the autobots aren't perfect at the end of the day they are always painted as the overall moral superior to the decepticon cause, even though the decepticons sprang from a movement against horrific and dehumanizing oppression where their literal only option was violence. and while the decepticons are shown as cruel and tyrannical monsters for every action they take the autobots are allowed to reach almost the same levels of violence and cruelty but since the narrative claims these actions are 'justified' they continue to be the heroes of the story
